Set between the summers of 1998 and 2005 in Cardiff, UK, Blue Sky July is the story of a mother, Nia, whose son, Joe, is diagnosed with cerebral palsy. On the afternoon that Joe was born, complications set in and Nia Wyn and her husband are told that their son has severe cerebral palsy -he would not walk, see, talk or hear.
‘Just Like Us’ is Carol Martin’s story of her life after 1980, when she became the mother of identical twins with cerebral palsy and intellectual disability.
