Gastrostomy support

GISS is a support group for people with gastrostomies and their carers. It’s an organisation is run by volunteers and has support groups in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia.

GISS NSW is holding a meeting in South West Sydney on Wednesday 10 November. Everyone with an interest in gastrostomies – people with a disability, families, carers and health professionals – are warmly welcome. Read more: Gastrostomy support

Gastrostomy support

GISS (Gastrostomy Information and Support Group) is a support group for people with a gastrostomy and their families and carers. The next GISS meeting will be held on Wednesday 1 July at Ryde. It will feature a presentation by Dr Leda Mugayar, Head of the Special Care Dentistry Unit at Westmead who’ll be speaking about oral care for people who are unable to eat or drink.

The meetings are also great opportunity for you to meet other families and professionals working in the field – to share ideas and experiences.

The NSW branch of the Gastrostomy Information and Support Society (GISS) will be holding a meeting on Wednesday 25 March 2009 at Ryde, 10 am – 12 noon.
