Access All Areas Film Festival

Access All Areas is a touring film festival that aims to increase access to Australian cinema. For the third year running, the festival will screen across NSW during November and December 2010.

The festival will visit cinemas and schools in Wagga Wagga, Orange, and Parramatta and wrap up in Sydney on 3 December to celebrate International Day of People with Disability. Read more: Access All Areas Film Festival

Festival of Films

On 6 December Bardic Drama School will present the first Eastern Sydney Festival of Films by Children and Young People.

Everyone is welcome to the special perspectives of these young film makers. Laugh, cry and be surprised by the creative and engaging storytelling.

Access All Areas Film Festival

Access All Areas Film Festival promotes full inclusion for people with disabilities to film and festivals and is aflagship event of the 2009 Don’t DIS my ABILITY campaign. From 16 November, the festival will tour Castle Hill, North Rocks, Griffith, Wagga Wagga and Orange, finishing at Sydney’s Dendy Opera Quays on 3 December to mark International Day of People with a Disability.

Tropfest

It was wonderful to see that this year’s Tropfest short film festival winner was a story about a charismatic young man, Daniel, who has Down Syndrome, played by Gerard O’Dwyer.
