More free school leavers’ expos will be held in August for young people with a disability. Suited to students in Years 9-12, they’ll be an opportunity to meet service providers and explore the different programs that are available once you leave school. There’s events at Rozelle, Chatswood and West Ryde.
It must be the season! We’ve just heard of several more school leavers expos at Chatswood, Mt Druitt, McGraths Hills, Baulkham Hills and Emu Plains.
A series of workshops will be offered across Sydney by Family Advocacy about navigating the post school system for families of school students with additional needs. The day is for families of school students with a developmental disability* (Years 9,10,11 or 12) to help them plan for life after year 12.
Find out about the choices that are available to young people with a disability after leaving school at a forum on Thursday 9 July 2009, from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm at Normanhurst on Sydney’s northside.
