South West Expo

On Saturday 6 August, Cerebral Palsy Alliance is holding a Sports, Technology, Arts and Recreation Expo at Wetherill Park.  The Expo will offer demonstrations, information stalls and representatives from many sporting organisations. Read more: South West Expo

Assistive technology – magic!

The Independent Living Centre (ILC) NSW has just launched a fabulous new website, featuring an assistive technology tool called AT Magic. Designed for health professionals and service providers, it will also be a very valuable tool for people with a disability and families. AT Magic was developed by the University of NSW for ILC – with funding from the NSW government. Visitors to the site can freely browse over 6,000 products, with prices, images, specifications, links to distributors, location maps and more.

Assistive technology forums

Two assistive technology forums will be held in August at Blacktown and Newcastle. These forums offer a range of practical information on the types of assistive technology available for use in the education, employment and community sectors. The focus of the forums is on the issues surrounding the search for appropriate technology and its implementation.

Dance party and Livewire virtual tour

Kids dancing

You’re invited to a dance party on Friday 17 July 2009, hosted by Northcott and Livewire*. The night is for young people aged 10 -21 with a disability, serious illness or chronic health condition. Join in the music and entertainment, with a special virtual tour of the Livewire social networking website.

Equipment Expo

The 2009 IRSA (Independent Rehabilitation Suppliers Association of NSW) Expo is on again at Rosehill Gardens, Tuesday 3 to Thursday 5 March.
