About
Hi, My name is Rodney Clarke and I suppose I qualify for the Hey Dad blog page for one major reason … I’m a dad!
Apart from the obvious qualification (fatherhood being my proudest achievement!) I am also a Master Project Director, olympian, married, overweight, slightly greying hair (hey, did I say slightly?) and entering a midlife crisis faster than you can say, Harley Davidson
!
I have a good sense of humour, strong set of personal and family values and a soft streak I try to keep hidden, and … I better stop there as it sounds more like a dating service! ;-)
My wife, Penny, and I live in a semi-rural area of Sydney and have two beautiful boys, Daniel (14) and William (12). Daniel was born with athetoid cerebral palsy and, like many families who have children with a disability, we have some unique life experiences we would love to share with you.
The Hey Dad blog will be full of stories, tips and strategies and I am sure you will find the odd healthy debate (or two!!). It will be great to understand from parents around the globe, what our kids are doing and what we are doing for our kids.
More than anything I am hoping you will come to recognise (if you haven’t already), even with a disability, how our wonderful children are teaching us to stand up, be proud, look life in the eyes and say, BRING IT ON!

Rodney Clarke Welcome to the Hey Dad blog … my name is Rodney Clarke and I suppose I qualify for the Hey Dad blog page for one major reason … I'm a dad!
