Orangutan Adventure – Nothing is Impossible

When Daniel was born my wife and I didn’t know what he was able to do, or for that matter, what he wasn’t able to do (see the blog post – I Love You Dad). At that time we could only see a future of pain and anguish for ourselves.

This blog should serve as a reminder to us all that the future is not written and it is up to you, the individual,to make the most out of life.

As your child grows, do you want them to fit in and be accepted as best as possible? Your biggest obstacle is the ignorance of others. So if you know you are going up against people who don’t know your child, how bright they are and what they can or can’t do, the question is … How do you prepare for it?

Perception is Reality

What do you mean, Perception is Reality? The explanation is quite simple. You and I might see exactly the same thing; however, we both interpret the situation differently. How often have you and a friend watched the same movie only to find that you each thought the movie was about something completely different? You have your individual perceptions on the same topic and yet they are both different.

That is, your perception – it is neither right nor wrong (of course to you it is right, but to someone else it can be wrong), therefore, your perception is your reality.
