Autumns’ Child

I have ‘favourite’ everythings (I’m a passionate person), I even have favourite seasons. Mine are the chilly months of, well, winter but more particularly I adore autumn. I even have an autumn leaf tattoo.

Why I am so profoundly in love with these seasons? There are many reasons, although I can’t deny that it starts with the clothes. I love winter coats and boots, and I love the need to layer and scarf up before I leave the house. You can wear more and be more imaginative. You get to see people’s personal style more clearly when it’s cooler. All the colours are just richer somehow.

How ‘the week that was’ ended

Since I’m sure you’re all on the edge of your seats to find out how my aforementioned adventures ended, I thought I’d tell you …

Reiki: I have yet to have a second session, as my Reiki person (and friend) is sick. Isn’t everyone? And no, I don’t think its swine flu. I am still feeling pretty balanced, but will be having another session when I can.

Three days of my Life: Reiki, wheelchair mischief and stupid mouth ulcers

Hello all and welcome to the week that has been, or at least, three days of it. If anyone thinks that my life, our lives, is boring and uneventful, they can read this and scrap that misconception.

I began my week with my first ever Reiki treatment. When ‘Googled’, Reiki can be defined as ‘a form of therapy that uses simple hands-on, no-touch, and visualization techniques, with the goal of improving the flow of life energy in a person. Reiki (pronounced ray-key) means "universal life energy" in Japanese, and Reiki practitioners are trained to detect and alleviate problems of energy flow on the physical, emotional, and spiritual level.’ http://medical-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/reiki

Dearest Pink

Dearest Pink,

I know you are in Australia at the moment and in Sydney again soon. Please agree to have an interview with me for this blog. Here are the reasons I would love to interview you:

I believe you are an intelligent, talented woman with something to say. (Okay, so I just had to get the blatant flattery out of the way first). Anyone with the guts to publicly question the actions of the (previous) ‘Leader of the free world’ is someone I would love to sit down with for an evening (along with a glass of wine, of course).

There aren’t many musicians who inspire me to dance and ponder my own thoughts at the same time (even if my dancing makes me look as if I’m having a seizure). I consider it multi-tasking. You seem game to break the ‘social norms’. What those are exactly and why they exist, neither of us is exactly sure. ‘Normal’ is a pointlessly negative word. I hear you like bikes, I have a fast wheelchair … yes, I’m thinking ‘road race’.

We can compare tattoos. Show and tell. You seem to have a dark, quirky sense of humour. So do I. You seem to do the things people least expect of you, just because you can – no one expects you to say yes to this interview.

So, what do you say? P.S. I would make some reference to getting this party started, but I thought that it might have been a bit to obvious.
