Christmas for the Kids

On Saturday 5th December Christmas came early to the children at The Spastic Centre. Enormous thanks to all of you; our very own army of volunteers from Macquarie Group. You brightened the day with your appropriately festive red T-shirts, caps and ready smiles. Some of you were returning volunteers from last year’s party. In many cases you slotted back into the same roles making the event run seamlessly. Yes BBQers we know you own the drinks and BBQ stall – same time same place next year? Who would have known that there had been a large office party the night before? Possibly the fact that many of you arrived wearing sunnies andhugging a large take-away coffee :-) But however you felt, you all pulled itoff like the professionals you are. And to those of you who brought extra helping hands along, please pass on our sincere thanks to your mums, sisters, partners and children.

Personally, the fifty star jumps at the start would have been enough to exhaust me for the rest of the race/day! Who was the poor guy who started the day with his face in a birthday cake?
